Care & Maintenance
You are now the proud owner of energy-proof
windows.
Your windows have been energy-proofed
by Tint Man, a window tinting specialist, New Jersey’s highest quality
window tinter. Your transparent window insulation will help protect you
and your furnishings from the discomfort and destructiveness of the sun.
While also adding to the appearance and security of your home.
The film is durable and installed with
special care. If you observe some changes for the first ten days,
they are a natural part of the drying and curing process.
Caring for your investment
Do not clean the glass during the drying
period. The sun acts as a catalyst, ensuring that the adhesive
thoroughly bonds the film to the glass. The adhesive withstands condensation,
high humidity and window flexing. During the cold weather, drying
periods may be longer and you may even notice ice forming between the film
and glass.
Water bubbles will disappear.
A few small particles or “points” may remain. They are generally
visible only from the outside. Inherent of film adhesives, these
points are light reflections. None of the above will not effect the
heat, glare, and fade reducing effectiveness of the film.
A slight hazy or milky appearance
caused by the water between the film and the glass at the outset sometimes
appears. Don’t be concerned however, it will disappear.
The barely visible, clear border around
the edges ensures that the film and the glass is properly bonded to
the glass.
DO NOT USE BRUSHES, AMMONIA CLEANERS
OR ANY TYPE OF ABRASIVE CLEANER.
For best cleaning results, use a
window cleaner containing vinegar and water i.e. Glass Works, Clear Windex
with vinegar, cleaning with a chamois, synthetic sponge or very soft paper
towels. A rubber squeegee may be used. |
